Homemade Sausages
Homemade Stick Summer Sausage: Summer sausage is a favorite for many
of our customers. It’s made with USDA inspected beef and pork and is mildly
seasoned to appease even the pickiest of eaters. Because of its popularity,
it is made in both sandwich size and cracker size. Sticks of sausage weigh
between 3.5 and 4 pounds.
Homemade Stick Bologna: This sausage is made with USDA inspected beef
and pork along with selected seasonings. It’s smoked, cooked and ready-to-eat.
This homemade bologna is close competition for our homemade summer sausage.
Sticks of bologna weigh between 3.5 and 4 pounds.
Country Style Sausage: Also known as Old-Fashion German Sausage, this
is one of Double R Meat’s best sellers! We are often told it is just like
the sausage Grandma and Grandpa used to make. Pork is the main ingredient
with some beef and seasonings added. It is then smoked to perfection and
ready to satisfy anyone’s hunger for cooked sausage. Country Style Sausage
needs to be heated to 160 degrees before eating. Heating it on the grill
makes it irresistible.
Try it!
Fry Sausage: This sausage is actually unsmoked Country Style Sausage
without the casing. It is packaged in one pound plastic bags and can be
used like ground beef. This sausage can be shaped into patties and then
fried to become a tasty breakfast treat!
Slim Jims: These fully-cooked snack sticks are one of a kind! They are
made from a mixture of beef, pork and seasonings that give it a mild, yet
appetizing flavor. They are softer and fresher than prepackaged slim jims
and will not leave you with a greasy or gritty aftertaste.
Pepperoni Stix: These snack sticks are very similar to our Slim Jims,
but have a variety of spices that attract the customer who loves the taste
of pepperoni!
Liver Sausage & Headcheese: These sausages are a popular treat among
those who used to process their own meat and make their own sausages. Liver
Sausage is made from pork tongue, liver, heart, skins and jowls along with
selected seasonings. Except for the liver, Headcheese contains the same
ingredients as Liver Sausage, but in different quantities. Both sausages
remind many patrons of the “Good Old Days”!
